SAFETY

In current times safety is the number one priority in travel. We were glad to learn Moxy follows Marriott’s 200+ cleaning protocols, and uses the AtmosAir™ system. The system uses high-tech air purification that continuously monitors, disinfects & purifies indoor air. Additionally, face masks are required in all public areas to ensure the safety of guests.

STAY

As you enter through the revolving door, you’ll be greeted by the hotel’s friendly and informative concierge. Upon request, we were granted early check-in as we only had one night to stay before returning home. To make the most of our short time, we went straight to our room, settled our things, and ventured back out to explore the rest of the property.

First on the list was the Alphabet Café where you can enjoy a free breakfast to-go each morning. As you head around the corner you’ll discover a lounge filled with throwback gems like VHS tapes, boomboxes, and vinyl LPs curated by Academy Records. After reminiscing with the classics, you can read a selection of books provided by the famous East Village bookstore, “The Strand.” If arcade games are more your speed, they even have a retro Skee Ball machine to play with.

FINALE

Overall, I absolutely loved the nostalgic look and feel of Moxy East Village and I cannot wait to return. I still would like to experience their French-Mediterranean restaurant Cathédrale, as well as their new rooftop bar opening Spring 2021.

As a Miami-lover I never thought I’d say this, but I genuinely cannot wait to get back to New York City. If you’re planning a trip to the Big Apple I definitely recommend Moxy East Village!
